FEP-1612 16-Port Fast Ethernet PoE Switch, 802.3af/at PoE, 16 PoE Outputs, 500W Power Budget

The LevelOne FEP-1612 is a 16-port Fast Ethernet PoE switch designed for high-density deployments such as offices, campuses, hospitality, and surveillance networks. All 16 x 10/100 Mbps ports support IEEE 802.3af/at PoE, delivering both data and power over a single Ethernet cable to IP cameras, wireless access points, IP phones and other PoE-enabled devices.

With a total PoE power budget of 500W, the FEP-1612 provides ample capacity for powering a large number of devices simultaneously, with up to 30W per port depending on the connected powered device. Auto-detection ensures that only IEEE 802.3af/at compliant devices receive power, while protection against non-standard PoE helps safeguard existing network equipment.

The switch supports 10/100 Mbps full/half-duplex operation with auto-negotiation and auto-MDI/MDIX on every port, simplifying installation and removing concerns about crossover cables. An internal non-blocking switching architecture with a 3.2 Gbps backplane and IEEE 802.3x Flow Control delivers reliable, low-latency transmission for everyday applications such as IP surveillance, VoIP and data sharing.

Housed in a durable 19-inch metal chassis, the FEP-1612 can be easily integrated into standard rack cabinets for structured wiring closets or security rooms. As an unmanaged, plug-and-play solution, it requires no configuration—front-panel LEDs provide at-a-glance status monitoring to simplify troubleshooting and day-to-day network operation.
