The LevelOne IGX-2872 is a high-density L2+ managed industrial Ethernet switch designed for fiber-centric and mission-critical networks. With 8 Gigabit SFP/RJ45 combo ports, 16 100/1000Base-X SFP ports and 4 1G/2.5G/10G SFP+ uplink ports, it delivers flexible connectivity for field devices, aggregation rings and uplinks to core systems in large industrial deployments.
Built for harsh environments, the IGX-2872 features a fanless IP40 DIN-rail enclosure, wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +80°C, and redundant 1AC/2DC power inputs. Combined with 6KV surge protection and robust ESD protection (Air 15kV, Contact 8kV), it ensures stable operation in factories, transportation systems, power utilities and outdoor cabinets where vibration, dust and extreme temperatures are common.
To maximize network availability, the switch supports ITU-T G.8032 ERPS ring protection with recovery times of less than 20 ms, keeping services online even during link or node failures. Advanced Layer 2 features such as VLAN, STP/RSTP/MSTP, Link Aggregation, QoS and IGMP Snooping optimize bandwidth utilization, segment traffic and prioritize critical control, video and data streams across the industrial network.
The IGX-2872 also offers comprehensive management and security, including Web, SNMP, CLI, Telnet and SSH access, along with 802.1X authentication, port isolation and ACL for fine-grained policy control. L2+ functionality is enhanced with IPv4/IPv6 static routing and built-in DHCP server, enabling efficient inter-VLAN routing and IP address management at the industrial edge. This makes the IGX-2872 a solid foundation for scalable, secure and always-on industrial Ethernet infrastructures.
