The LevelOne GEP-0531 is a compact 5-port Gigabit PoE switch designed for small offices, home networks and remote work environments that need to power IP cameras, wireless access points and VoIP phones over a single Ethernet cable. It provides 4 PoE-capable ports and 1 Gigabit uplink, delivering reliable Gigabit connectivity for mixed PoE and non-PoE deployments.

Compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at/bt, the switch offers a total PoE power budget of 60W. Ports 2–4 support up to 30W each, while Port 1 supports Hi-PoE up to 60W under the IEEE 802.3bt standard, making it ideal for higher-power devices such as PTZ cameras or high-performance wireless access points. Automatic device detection simplifies installation and helps prevent damage to non-PoE equipment.

The built-in DIP switch enables three practical operating modes to adapt to different installation scenarios. PoE Watchdog mode automatically detects and restarts unresponsive PoE devices, improving uptime for remote cameras and access points. Isolation mode separates downlink ports to enhance LAN security, while Extension mode allows PoE transmission distances of up to 300 meters at 10 Mbps on Ports 3 and 4, ideal for long corridors, parking lots or outdoor camera runs.

With 6KV surge protection on each port, the GEP-0531 is better prepared for electrical interference and unstable power conditions often found in real-world environments.
