XEL-0891 8-Port L3 Managed 10G Ethernet Switch, 4 x 1/2.5/5/10GbE RJ45, 4 x 1/2.5/10G SFP+ Uplinks
The LevelOne XEL-0891 is a high-performance Layer 3 managed 10G Ethernet switch designed for SMB cores, high-end workgroups and edge aggregation. It combines four 100M/1G/2.5G/5G/10G adaptive RJ45 ports with four 1G/2.5G/10G SFP+ uplinks, delivering flexible copper and fiber connectivity for servers, NAS, access switches and wireless infrastructure.
With a non-blocking switching fabric of 160 Gbps and forwarding performance up to 119.04 Mpps, the XEL-0891 maintains wire-speed throughput on every port, even with jumbo frames and mixed traffic loads. This makes it ideal for bandwidth-intensive applications such as virtualization, 4K/8K media workflows, backup, and high-speed storage access.
The switch supports a rich set of Layer 3 routing capabilities, including IPv4/IPv6 static routes, RIP v1/v2, OSPF v2 and BGP-4, enabling dynamic, scalable routing between VLANs and upstream networks. Up to 4K IEEE 802.1Q VLANs, with QinQ, private, voice, guest and subnet-based options, allow precise traffic segmentation for multi-tenant, departmental or service-based designs.
To protect critical assets, the XEL-0891 integrates advanced security features such as 802.1X port-based authentication, MAC and port limiting, Access Control Lists (ACLs) and DoS attack protection. These controls help prevent unauthorized access, mitigate threats at the edge and enforce consistent security policies across the network.
Quality of Service (QoS) is handled by eight hardware queues per port with SP, WRR and WDRR scheduling, ensuring latency-sensitive services like voice, video conferencing and key business applications receive prioritized bandwidth. Link aggregation via LACP or static trunks, coupled with MSTP and ERPS ring protection, delivers load-balanced bandwidth and rapid failover for high availability.
For management, the XEL-0891 offers a comprehensive toolkit including Web GUI, console/Telnet/SSH CLI, HTTPS/SSL, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, Syslog and FTP/TFTP for firmware and configuration management. This flexible management framework simplifies deployment, monitoring and maintenance, making the XEL-0891 an efficient, cost-effective 10G upgrade path for modern SMB and campus networks.
